Recently, I read an interesting article about a guy who gave up law school and became a clown. Basically, this guy decided law school was not something for him and gave up after the first year; he wanted to pursue a career that was more fun and challenging. Coincidently, he noticed that a nearby amusement park was hiring for actors. Although he had no experience, he took the opportunity and was eventually recruited. From then on, he learned to act, dance, circuit, and clown. In just six years, he was promoted to the role of assistant program director at the park, responsible for designing all shows within the theme park.
Personally, I think this is a really cool and motivating
story. Life should be fun and
adventurous. This is another example
where one can be successful at doing something he or she loves. I know there are many similar stories
around. However, this again reinforces
the idea that if you are passionate about your job (regardless of how strange
it may be), success will follow.
